Director

John Alderdice
John is married to Ruth and they have two children, Hannah and Daniel. He is an Arrow graduate and has been a Methodist Minister since 1998. He served in churches in Richhill Co. Armagh and Newtownards Co Down prior to taking up the post of Methodist chaplain to Queen’s University, Belfast in 2009. As Chaplain he co-leads a church and student centre at The Hub Belfast (www.thehubbelfast.org) as well as working within the University. He has served on the boards of Summer Madness and New Wine Ireland. John has a passion to see the church become missional and to make a genuine impact upon contemporary culture, but being an Arrow participant really challenged him to think through the whole issue of leadership development in the church and the importance of effective leadership in relation to mission and evangelism. He is a technology lover, mac geek, book collector, music listener, and part time runner!

Leadership Team

Derek and Trich Dodd
For many years Derek and Trich served on the Leadership of YWAM Netherlands as National Pastoral Co-ordinators, until they moved back to Ireland in 1999, setting up home in County Wexford. Since then they have established YWAM Family Life Resources, serving all denominations, with a focus on strengthening the Family and equipping Christians for the work of Reconciliation in Marriage, Family and interpersonal relationships. Increasingly they have opportunities to teach in secular settings, and enjoy sharing biblical principles in a way that makes sense to non-believers, especially when they want to know more! They are also lay pastoral ministers on a part time basis with Redcross Church in County Wicklow. We love travel and as resource lecturers for YWAM’s international University of the Nations, spend several weeks each year teaching and ministering in different parts of the world.
