By the end of the Arrow program, our aim is that there would be the following outcomes for the participants:
Character
Arrow leaders will:
- Have a growing relationship with Jesus, evidenced by regular time of prayer, devotional reading of Scripture and growing relationships of love with others.
- Be above reproach in life and conduct
- Be responsible and faithful in marriage, family life and personal relationships.
- Be engaged in personal transformation and growth
Call
Arrow leaders will be:
- Clear about God’s call upon their lives
- Aware of their own unique identity and giftedness
- Managing life and ministry in a way that reflects this calling
- Committed to growing and developing themselves in ministry long term
- Able to discern and implement personal vision
Competency
Arrow leaders will have developed specific competencies in the areas of leadership and evangelism
Leadership
Arrow leaders will be:
- Clear about the distinctive nature of Christian leadership
- Desiring to have a servant’s heart
- Aware of the diversity of leadership styles, and clear about their own style/s
- Committed to growing leaders around them, and to building teams
- Able to discern and implement corporate vision
- Able to deal with conflict
- Able to manage time according to the priorities of their calling
- Able to manage change in organisations
- Able to understand contemporary culture and its relevance as the context for leadership
Evangelism
Arrow leaders will be:
- Committed to, and personally involved in evangelism and mission
- Able to understand contemporary culture and its relevance as the context for evangelism
- Able to lead others in evangelism
- Committed to, and involved in, global mission and evangelism
- Able to discern God’s leading of the Church in its missional and evangelistic role, and think creatively about strategies needed for this.
